“The illustration is called Circo Massimo (Circus Maximus). I’ve decided to represent it through a typical scene that would have taken place there when it still was in use, a quadrille guided by an auriga with details of the Circo in the background. Before realizing the sketch I’ve thoroughly studied historical images. Eventually, I’ve realized the final illustration digitally.”
